What really annoyed me about the Vegas games was I saw a making of and they started with a game somewhat like RvS and then GoW'd it up.
"Oh yes, this is an uzi, it's actually quite accurate because of the long barrel but everyone knows from seeing movies it's a bullet hose so we just turn this accuracy slider down..."
yea the UZI is rubbish, it fires far too quickly and is totally inaccurate, it also has poor range, you wont live long using a UZI in terrorist hunt !
i'd love to get BATTLEFIELD 3, but the SP mission seems too much like COD, i cant stand squad based missions where you have to run from A to B with other blokes, i prefer being on my own or with two others only

This tbh, I always make an effort to be civil when talking to support people, even if they're frustrating me a bit, and I always seem to get my problems sorted. If someones been particuarly helpful and got me sorted, I'll usually send an extra thanks message.
Acting like a massive douche isn't going to get people to want to help you, it's going to have the opposite effect. If I worked support (thank god I don't for everyone's sake) and I got treated like that, I'd go out of my way to make things as difficult as possible for that person.

I work in support, and you are quite right here. There are always plenty of people that log tickets and want help, its strange that the nice ones seem to get seen to first

I folded and bought this while drunk. It's really, really bad as a Clancy game.
As an action 3pv shooter it's OK.
Most of the game revolves around the "Shoot four dudes in the face at once" mechanic which is a semi interesting embelishment to the genre as it now stands.
Honestly though as a tactical shooter it's rubbish. There is no tactics. Just shooting.
Comparing Hidden & Dangerous 2 to this it's such an incredible retrograde step. I would say something like "the Clancy franchises are dead" but that was p obvious years ago and now basically nobody is making tac shooters.

the first two GRAWS were quite tactical, because you definitely had to take care or you died all the time, these weren't run and gun brain dead games like COD.
but yea' GRAW is still a shoooter at the end of the day, because if you want extreme tactics you need to be playing something like DEUS EX.

GRAW wasn't the first Ghost Recon game.
Sorta. GRAW2 made more of an effort than GRAW the first with the "Stealth" mode and multiple routes through the level. Still very dumb in places.
"Extreme" tactics? Like on a BMX and stuff?
Ghost Recon started life as a tac shooter. Actually to be fair it was already a bit consolized when compared to the R6 franchise but it still maintained the need to control your squad and traditional Clancy elements like tension (big deal design-wise. You're supposed to NOT know what's around the corner).
Each successive generation (with the possible exception of what GRiN tried to do) has been aimed at a lower rung of player and has removed more and more of these design features.
And here we are now.

The Tom Clancy games have gone down hill since they went third person in my opinion, Rainbow Six Las Vegas 1 & 2 were the start of the downward spiral, & its just getting worse now all we have are gears of war style cover shooters.
It's time we had a reboot of the whole franchise that goes back to the roots of the Tom Clancy back catalog Rouge Spear is a good starting point & some of the best gaming I've experienced ever.

i love Vegas 1 and 2 for the weapons/ cover system etc.
the problem with GRAW is it's a bit boring, it has no humour or personality, at least with Vegas you can listen to the terrorists talking etc, which can be quite amusing, plus you can get in really close..... both games suffer from not being able to stalk properly like in Deus Ex or to use unarmed combat.
but then again, the guns in Deux Ex are **** to say the least/ no ammo/ silly upgrades/ not one hit kills etc etc, just like Fallout 3..... i.e if i had the guns from Vegas 2 these bunch of Augmented Idiots would die instantly.
i like Deux Ex but i'm not a fan of these silly Praxis upgrades, because you only get to full strength once the game is over, i've played now for days and i'm still as weak as **** and i've only had a few Praxis, it's so annoying
