They did match it perfectly. Jason says in the breakdown video they watched GB2 and built the set as faithfully as possible.

Don't thinks it's down to learning their lessons. More like they have a capable writer and director and a great team that worked on it who who what they are doing.

Putting it another way… the toy line gives away fairly major spoilers but such are the nature of the spoilers I anticipate that you’d have to be living under a rock to not know about what has been ‘revealed’ before seeing the film

It has admittedly made me more keen to see the film.

It's not Murray it Aykroyd. It's Ray in his Occult book store.

Yes the tattoo is there for the film, Reitman says it was partly Dan's idea. Its a Bible reference/quote relating to the first movie, when Ray and Winston are in the car talking about Revelations and the end of the world.
