Ghostbusters is still flippin ace!

brilliant film, never gets old. So many lines in it that still make me laugh every time i watch it.

"Listen. Do you smell something? "

"Where do these stairs go?" - "They go up"

Love Ghostbusters! My two favourite films, and thats saying something especially for me. I'm pretty neutral about these kind of things.

Also got the 1st season of the cartoon. :)

Just as a related piece to the Babylon 5 thread thats doing the rounds, JMS the creator of Babylon 5 had a lot to do with the Real Ghostbusters cartoon.

^^ The second one kicks ass, one of few sequals to surpass the original.

"doh, Re, Egon!" :D

Ghostbusters are 2 of my favorite films, as well as the orginal cartoon. None of this 'extreme' rubbish.

From where? I just ordered 2 DVD's off Amazon but they weren't seasons.

Well if you want to get the first season in the same way I got it, then you'd need a time machine to go back to the 80s and a VCR. :p

Also Dan Akroyds version of ghostbusters didn't involve proton packs and New York. It involved them going about different dimensions with magic wands to destroy demons, but luckily him and Ivan Rietman and Harold Ramis all sat down and made a normal version.

Loved Ghostbusters, and a few years ago, the Ectomobile car was at Universial Studios on display.
After waiting for the right moment, i handed the camera to the missus, leapt the fence and got in the drivers seat and she quickly took a photo before security got me. :D

Haha, brilliant. :D Now I think it's only right that you now show us all said photo. :p

Excellent film...one of my all time favourites :D a brilliant childhood favourite. Murray is a comic genius...I still wonder whether it would've been the same if Belushi hadn't died...hmmmm

I think its the last best movie to use traditional special effects (e.g. models and matte backgrounds) before CGI too over in the early 90's (e.g. T2)
