Ghostbusters Reboot

It's not like the others were that good. They were great when I was 8 but re-watching them in recent years they were pretty average. In the same way I thought Gremlins was awesome when I was 10.

You are mistaken, son.

I don't see why this has to be crap just because of all-female cast. The three leads are what really made the film first time round, and they're never going to do another, so you're starting from scratch whatever.

I just hope there isn't too much spoofing of the original (or any other films), and minimal pop-culture references. Basically, keep the cheap gags out.

Just saw this on BBC news.

Your right cheeseboy it doesn't have to be crap just because its an all female cast, but it will be! :(

If that's the real new logo, a little bit of me has just died inside. That logo embodies what this entry will be like, lots of finger waving "Oh no you didn't" catchphrases and toilet humor. SNL has been complete garbage for over a decade and this will be embarrassing abomination.

Good work Hollywood.

Just once, could they not just leave something alone. Rather than ruining it to make a quick bit of cash?
Who is the target audience for this film? Will it be the Bridesmaids crowd?

Half the lead cast are from Bridesmaids, it's even the same bloody director! Says it all really. Hollywood just love destroying good classics.

I think we all know that Jurassic Park World is going to destroy what was left of a truly great film, come on we've all seen 'that' trailer.

What's next? Steve Carell in a Back To The Future 'reboot'?

Luckily BTTF will never see a reboot.

Bob Gale said so.

Supposed plot details.

Two girls are ghost hunters. One of them has a friend who's working at a college. The fourth works for MTA, discovers the main ghost (who is a convicted murderer turned ghost by a freak electrical storm during his execution, I kid you not, and he can summon other ghost killers from throughout history or something) and presumably joins the team after that. The four girls have to come together to stop him. In addition to the main ghost, who if Feig gets his way will be played by Peter Dinklage, they will face opposition in the form of a professional paranormal "debunker" who thinks they're al full of **** after seeing videos of them catching ghosts on YouTube that, get this, Feig hopes will be played by Bill Murray. There won't be an Ecto 1. Their gear will be sleek and high-tech.

The plot ideas floating around (no pun intended) seem so unrelated to the original Ghostbusters I don't even know why they're using the title. Apart from there's four main characters and it features ghosts, it's pretty much a completely different movie!

GB1 is awful. Cringe-worthy dialogue, acting, and over-dosing on cheese. I saw it (again) last year on the TV and realised only a child could enjoy it :p
