Ghostbusters Reboot

I should have stuck to drama class in secondary school.

Melissa McCarthy got $14,000,000 for this. If that is true according to IMDb.

Found this on YouTube, apparently elaborates on a leaked version of the script which seems to match up with whats seen in the trailer for the most part. Could be internet scuttlebutt but if true it sounds really bad.

Second video has the overview of the script, first one is more rumour based.

If whats in the vids is true it sounds really bad to say the least, just a half assed cash in with a director who didn't have much of a clue about ghostbusters in general.

Personally I don't understand why it got the all clear let alone from Dan Aykroyd.

Aykroyd has been busting his ass trying to get a movie made since the 90's, the years since the 2008 video game seemed the most promising for a new movie as Murray was more receptive to the prospect of a movie after reprising his Venkman role in the game. Apparently he's been one of the main reasons why a part 3 never happened as he didn't like sequels and hated the second movie because of the amount of effects shots in it.

The word doing the rounds is Murray was sent quite a few script revisions of a third movie and they all got the thumbs down, he was finally written out of the movie so they could move ahead, Harold Ramis died then part 3 got put on the back burner. Aykroyd has stated that if this reboot is a success it could put a proper sequel back on track, which i'm doubting as it would be a few years off still and Ernie Hudson is already the oldest of the main cast at 70.

Just seems that after years of trying he's pretty much willing to let anything go ahead as a ghostbusters movie, plus he obviously gets money from Sony as well. :(

Wow, interesting to listen to, can't wait to see what the final career-ending reception is like! :D
