Ghostbusters Reboot

The production company is doing some shady crap with that teaser, last night it had over 10k dislikes now all of a sudden the likes and dislikes are in the 300 odd range?

From 1989 people have wanted a sequel to gb2, there was talk about it up until around 2006 when Aykroyd said it wouldn't happen (apparently getting Bill Murray on board was the biggest stumbling block). After the game got released it brought renewed interest and even got Murray interested again, there was a few script revisions knocked out, Dan Aykroyd said a few times they hoped to begin filming in the fall over the course of 2-3 years... and again Murray was apparently hesitant. Harold Ramis dies then this remake gets set in motion and made in what seems like the blink of an eye.:(

The ghostbusters in hell script with a flip city style New York sounded interesting, doubt it will ever see the light of day now.

You know they're going to try to reel us in with top noch SFX on the ghosts but i'm not giving the studio a penny for this garbage.

What I don't understand is who is this film being made for.

Let's be honest, geeks love ghostbusters, we all think that this film looks tosh.

Does the general public want an all female ghostbusters reboot?

I just don't understand how this was green lit for funding?

Feminists.

From what I've read some of the ghost are meant to resemble gangsters of the 20th century like Al Capone etc.

They should reboot more 80s films.

Francesca Bueller's Day Off
Harriet And The Hendersons
Belinda & Tracey's Excellent Adventure
The Blues Sisters
Rain Woman
The Lost Girls
Auntie Buck
Weekend At Bernadette's
Driving Mr Daisy

Going by some of the toys that have shown in some pics for this movie it seems that the ghost from the "no ghost" logo is actually a ghost in this, so it seems like they're explaining the roots of the logo for some reason.

Yep that will completely undermine the original film at a whole new level....that has to be the idea right?

I've no clue what they're trying to do with this movie, Dan Aykroyd seems to think if this is a success then it could path the way for a proper GB3. Which makes no real sense, its as if there's no confidence in a gb movie with the original cast so the franchise has to prove itself again with a weird reboot with a new cast...not sure how that works.

Trailer drops today at some point so should be interesting to see what it has in it.

Like the look if it....a remake with a male cast would never have lived up to the original ...at least they're doing something a bit different.
