is there a free program thats worth trusting to do a GHost/Iamage of my HD as it is now ..

reason : i`am installing some new HD`s an wanna just have windows as its set up now copied ... don`t wanna go thru the hassle of reinstalling an activating again which i`ve had to do 3 time`s this month due to faulty MB`s an stuff .. got a stable sys`s an was tnhinking it` might be easier to Ghost/Iamage ISO or what ever the sys as is ..

vista has its own disk imaging software built in, possibly depending what version you're running. Type backup into the start menu and see what comes up.
 
Have you got any Maxtor or Seatgate drives in your PC? If so you can download their Maxblast software for free which amongst other things allows you to image your drive. Works in Vista64 as thats what I have. It also allows you to make a emergency boot disk, though I'm not sure if that would work if you have a raid setup, as it would not have chance to load the raid drivers. However, if you have a copy of windows XP to hand you could make a BartPE bootable XP disk including your raid drivers, and install the Maxblast software into that, it comes with a BartPE plugin for this very purpose.
