I don't know anything about TFT monitors (still using my CRT) so when I changed my brother's graphics card from an ATI to an nVidia I was a bit surprised when the desktop image was ghosting a little bit....this occurs when just looking at the desktop....beside everything there is a little faded copy of it. It was fine before the card was changed.

Anyone know how to correct this? The monitor has an analogue connector even though it's a TFT.

Have this at work sometimes.

Does the tft have an auto adjust setting?

I've just swapped a crt with a tft and as one ran at a different res i changed it in the display setting screen to the native res of the tft. What greeted me was ghosting so i just hit the auto adjust and hey presto!

What model cards were they and did you fully remove the drivers of the first card?

Past that i'd begin to consider it being a faulty card!

Pics would help too if you can get any! :)

Went from an 9800 Pro to a 6800gs....both AGP, used driver cleaner in safe mode in between etc.

The 6800gs came out of my computer, so I know it wasn't faulty.

Are you using an analogue monitor cable (e.g. vga). If so, try moving it away from any other cables (especially power).

Some people when they buy a new monitor keep using the old cable so they don't have to get down behind the PC and swap it over, but it's not a good idea since it might not be rated to handle the resolution of the new screen. VGA leads aren't all the same, so it's worth checking the lead was intended for that monitor.

Other than the lead all I can think of is that some old nvidia cards used to have poor analogue output, but we're talking really old stuff, GeForce 4 series etc.
