Hello,

I posted about this ages ago, but never got round to doing it.

I'll be acquiring the following case very soon, and it's quite a beast. I'm gonna spruce it up big time, but i'm not really sure what i should do to it.

Anybody got any ideas? Ie colour scheme, types of mods etc :)

The case in question

Don't think i have the skills to do something that extreme :(

But i was thinking about lime green too

If thats a pentium 2 sticker then this could be really good - if its a P1, make sure the case is ATX and not AT, else theres a pain in the neck job you have todo first - the conversion!

try fit in as many 120.3 rads as you can :D

put about 6 of them in if they will fit, lol would be a laugh and a record (i think)

install a house radiator in there, link it up to some water cooling and have a 100% passivly cooled (apart from pump) system!

liek the idea of this, i would like to do the same but i cant find a case thatsize or cheap enough
I always wanted to do this too but could not find a case.

However, i was fortunate enough to get a job as an IT tech at a school and got my Gateway case in sig just as it was about to be thrown out! Was an old Pentium 2 server and (aside from being completely free!!! ) was a welcome expanse after the cramped confines of my old Antec P180!!!

Can't wait to see how this one comes out! :)

gotta cut a window in the side, dont just do square, stencile on some design that you like and get it laser cut if you not confident doing it yourself. Watercooling that case is a given

New colour, water cooled, crazy window in it, drive stealthing for it, whole new front it looks horid, new power and restart buttons with cool LEDs.

The case has landed

Excuse the camera phone photos...

Well, i'm gonna ditch the monitor mod.. for the reasons above, gonna be a bit toasty in there.

The spec that "will" be going in there is my current rig, 3700SD, x1800xt-512, 1gb ram.

As for ideas so far, i'm wanting a subtle look.. anything to luminous is gonna be awful, especially with a case that size. I'm planning on a matt black or glossy black on the outside. Maybe paint the chassis a metalic colour, or white. Re-create a whole new front out of smoked perspex, maybe a door hinged on the top half. And finaly two windows, one up top and one downstairs.

Thoughts? :p

It will be fine, monitor will only put out about 50w of heat which isn't that much if you're using water (even decent air cooling). Had my PC next to a radiator and it only added around 8c to the temp :)

get some car paint and let the spaying begin would say yellow for front since its alrdy yellow and green for the middle and back drill out out holes in the pc where u would stick som fans but not many 1 120 top side near g.c 120 etc all u need or u just get an hammer and go hammer time!

I just bought one of these monsters :D

gonna be interested to see what you can do with yours, I have a fair idea what I'm doing with mine but keeping it schtum for now.
