Definatley OEM, i doubt your CPU will fail after a year, by then he would have upgraded like i am soon to a E6600 .

The stock cooler isn't that great anyway so you'll probably need a 3rd party cooler. Best bet is to wait til the OEM is back in stock. To be honest if your CPU lasts 6 months then it will probably not fail til the end of its natural life span and by that stage you'll probably have upgraded to a 64 core CPU

I'm not sure off hand of the time frame, but could this be the end of stock for the E6300 to be replaced with the E6320 when it comes in? hence no ETA on restocking and most suppliers out of stock of them?

^ the E6x20 chips are Q2 so april time, i doubt they'll be without stock of the other chips for that long.
