@Gibbo - Vega Preorders?

I am thinking of the WC version.

Have 2x 290x 8gb vapor-x crossfire to sell on.
What would the gains be on WC vega 64.

Probably some gains and also no gains . some Games have good x-fire scaling others don't. The Single Vega will use less total power and pump out less heat into the case. I sold my 2 4GB r9 290x cards to go single vega. If vega does turn out to be a good mining card and good stock levels the current cards will drop a lot in price until there is stock issues again. Sell now and live a few weeks without a card or a temp card is an option

Profit per card can be low depending on set up and electricity costs. Higher grade and more efficient PSUs then help. £2/Day doesn't sound a lot but that's still £730 a year per card. most will be running 4+ cards so £2800+ so that's the cost of the rig paid back in 1 year or less. Then add in the increase of the crypocurrency that could triple over a day night or month.

Fair enough. I think there's a fair amount to risk if you're investing thousands just to mine.
Plus who knows if/when it will crash.
It's all interesting regardless.

Will the NZXT G12 AIO adapter work on Vega?

@Gibbo you don't seem to have stock of the NZXT G12, but you stock most of their other products. Is it possible to find out if it will fit?

Nothing in your link says that I am wrong. If a component has an MTBF of 5 years at 50 degrees, it should last 5 years at that temp, unless it is faulty or there are other issues. Is cooler better, of course it is. But, you will only reduce the lifespan of the component from it's MTBF at 50 degrees by running it higher than 50 degrees.

which is what I meant.

regular power cycling reduces lifespan as well as higher operating temperatures.

Saw in an earlier post that the discount on a monitor with Vega 64 wasn't available in Europe or the UK. Only the CPU & motherboard was discounted and the 2 games are still included.

That and the whole guessing game around prices really irritates me about these launches, Americas prices are known, at least the prices amd suggest but when it comes to everywhere else its some massive secret for random reasons.

Yes, the US is sorted. The rest of the world has to check the fine print, term and conditions, forum posts, twitter posts, reddit posts, smoke signals, drawings on cave walls etc to try and deduce what's applicable to them. It's as clear as mud :D

Hopefully at least everything should be clear on Monday.

Oh we have to factor in brexit, pound vs the dollar, the current price of rickshaw insurance for the transport from the factory in china to the boat, the possibility of a meteor strike intercepting said rickshaw, oh and miners, supply and demand and just how much retailers want to tack on of their own accord.

Yeah. If the price is anywhere near the Ti, it's uh.... even I'm gonna have to pass on that :/

I'm doubting they will sell that many if the pricing is up there around the 650 mark , liquid cooled or not if its just a bit better than reference 1080 performance its probably hovering around clocked 1080 performance so far too much of a markup.
