@Gibbo - Vega Preorders?

when their prefered cards sell out worldwide. They move onto the next best, and so on and so on. Haven't you been paying attention? The 480/580s sold out, then they went after the 1060's/1070s

The available 580's here at OCUK have been hanging around, I've been checking daily for a while and the 1 Asus 580 dual hasn't gone, Also the Red Devils have been available with +10 stock for a while so they can't be selling like hot cakes anymore. I suppose everyone that wanted them has got them by now, Plus I read about a dip in *Euretheum's value and more recently something about some watchdog or government body that's planning to clamp down and nip it in the bud so to speak..

*Spelt wrong, sorry.

I'll be getting a Vega 64 :)

If gibbo could hook me up with a pre order now I'd do it :p

I imagine most of us who are planning to get one would.

I want a water cooled pre-order, just in case someone's making a list.

Near the bottom of that page is the VEGA bundles info. The bundles for the rest of the world (aka the UK, which is most of us here) look really disappointing. In comparison, the US gets a massive discount on loads of stuff. I do hope this improves.

I think that's a little unfair.

The US do get a discount on a specific monitor that's worth $200. That should be matched in Europe.

The only other difference is that Europe get slightly different games. Germans don't get wolfenstien.

Yes, however until we reach the point where Vega are the only GPUs available on the planet that isn't going to be an issue. Nobody is going to buy a Vega GPU over a GTX1070/1080/1080ti and I don't see them becoming impossible to find anytime soon.

AMD hardware is always better at mining, hence the 580, 480, 570, 470s all sold out before they started hitting the 1060s and 1070s. GPU mining is dead at the moment anyway, unless you have free electricity

2014 called, it wants it's misconception back.

That happened because the wannabe miners jumping on the bandwagon were reading outdated guides and making the same assumption, once they realised the 1060/1070 were better choices (compared to the inflated RX400/500/Fury prices) they got in on them too. A card that give 1070/1080 mining performance for 1070/1080 money and >1080ti power consumption is going to be the absolute last choice for mining, it's that simple.

If mining is dead then why are 580s still around twice the price they should be?
£450 for the only 8GB 580 in stock at OC. They were £250 or less before the mining madness.

The only thing the uk doesn't get the same as the us is the $200 off the Samsung monitor?????

We had 500 of the 580 Devil arrive, and 80% of them are sold to gamers at £278.99 with voucher code, miners pay £450 each for them, hence not many miners going for them at that price. I have less than 150 left now, so sales have being pretty good, even better by the fact that gamer have bagged themselves a great card at normal none-inflated mining price. :)

Well at least we get the $100 off from the CPU/MB, and the board I'm after is part of it. But guess I have to step up to the 1700X.

Shame about the monitor though looking at the US prices that's a good ~20% off. Oh well, I'm still waiting for Freesync 2 monitors anyway :p.

Wow that seems a good price, what's it's equivalent a 1060 or 1070? Can you link me to the coupon?
