Hey everyone. Is there any list of online retailers putting Vega on sale tomorrow? Or at least anyone's TOP 5-10 US, UK, EU online computer stores known for their good services and best prices that might do so will be very much appreciated. Wondering just in case I won't be able to make it before the Gibbo's stock runs dry and will have to look somewhere else. Thanks!
No competitor talk is a forum rule

that would be against the forum rules, so no I doubt it.

haha people saying its late, what were they doing with all the money etc. did they not nearly shut down the graphics research section, and just concentrate on cpu/gpu combos.

so to be only 1/2 a generation behind with a miniscule amount of money compared to the competition isnt so bad.

Excuses, excuses, AMD should be making a faster card than Nvidia with less money and it should cost less because they've had ages to stockpile the magic pixie dust.

When AMD makes mid range cards which sell well it's because they aren't trying, if they just used a proper mix of pixie dust in a cash bonfire they could make the best card ever.

Well at least people will know how good they are, without rushing about worrying about buy one in time like with the 64 if miners get them.

At least pricing will be confirmed tomorrow and performance reviews.

I'm starting to think it's very obvious.
The 64's going to be 1080 performance at a higher power draw etc.
56's going to be inbetween a 1070 and a 1080.

It's all very meh.

it is when you consider how late Amd are to counter Gp104, when it's looking to scale around rx470 cf performance.
If we had cf support then 2xrx470's could be had for 320 at launch or 260 when at their bottom prices.

But they're not "late", vega was always scheduled for mid 2017 regardless of when pascal was launching. Its not like they set their time tables by nvidia launches.

So they they are not late to offering Gp104 performance??
;)

Not according to their own timetables no. They can only launch when the chips and cards are ready, its not like they see an nvidia launch and immediately pull something out to counter it, that's generally done with price cuts. Not pulling products from magical orifices.

All I'm looking for is an AMD card (for open source Linux driver support) that performs at least as good as a 1070 at a competitive price (i.e if the 64 is on par with the 1080 the price should be around that of a 1080)
