odd things are:
it still has 2x IDE slots, which im sure theyre meant to be phasing out.
NO MARVELL SATA CONTROLER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
overcrowded CPU socket which is gonna make watercooling FUN FUN FUN
no parrallel port
really weird lookign SATA slot connection config :S

2. So?? It has an Intel one and a Silicon image one
3. I haven't seen the socket
4. Did you ever use one of these?
5. I'm sure there's some reason for this

1. Damn Right !, but still IDE is getting more and more redundant due to SATA, fair enough for optical drives though !
2. thats a good thing mate... those of us with the P5Wd2-E's will tell you its a joyful thing NOT to have ! let us rejoyce !
3.*pic* - just the caps are awfuly close to the socket like on the current P5 series
4.yes, and im planning on buying a sign plotter lol... will geta PCI card if needs must
