GIF-iti?

Writing this piece for a site I work on I discovered this new art form - 'GIF-iti' its amazing, has anyone heard of it??? It is graffiti that is photographed, then a bit redrawn, photographed, then redrawn etc etc.

That is what I thought when I first saw it - its not, its been repainted. I mean of course you could just make it in photoshop but that isnt really the point.

what's that running at like 18-20fps animation ? so someone bothered to paint those walls and erase them and paint them around 20x for each second of film?

I'm calling photoshop

more than likely people stumble across graffiti then decide to take a photo and animate it in photoshop

Look at the paint around the outside shift in the second one?

In the second one the leaves on the tree and the light on the traffic signal thingy in the background dont change or move either? Still a pretty cool and trippy effect though!

neither do the clouds.

maybe the first one is legit since it's just 2 birds I guess you could just stencil them in but the second one seems far to detailed with the skulls spinning

I'm thinking the second one has had the billboard dropped onto a better background, but left the background to just be a still frame.

Pretty cool though.

The second one is clearly a photo shop, I zoomed in and my dad kills wasps using a boxing stance.

But how do you explain the paint marks?? I know it looks too good almost - I am gonna try and find proof..
