I have tried FastStone, windows live and windows image viewer, which only plays one frame of the gif; i want full animation, full screen etc. I tried XnView which does these but does not continuously play the file, it only plays it once and then stops. Mozilla plays them continuously but obviously have no slide show/full screen mode. Any ideas?

Erm, Well you can use Adobe Fireworks to view a gif frame by frame if thats the sort of thing your looking for.

You can always open a .Gif file with Google Chrome or Internet explorer and it will play the file.

I am currently trying Irfan view; does anyone know how to make it zoom to full screen by default and continuously play the one gif in the slideshow until i click next because these two things are what I'm after, thanks

If by "zoom to fullscreen" you're not including up-scaling a smaller image to fit the screen then try Faststone Image Viewer. I prefer it to Irfanview as I find it works far better in fullscreen mode and when dealing with larger images.

Edit: In Faststone Image Viewer you can actually up-scale smaller images to fill the screen too.
