Giffgaff and nuisance calls

Is anyone else with Giffgaff getting an obscene amount of Scam calls from India lately?

Its been happening for a while,Sometimes it’ll go a week without any then il get 3 calls in a week claiming to be from different places,Whats concerning is they know my name..and obviously my number.
But i 100% know they are scam artists and not legit.

I block each number they phone from,But each time they just phone using another number.

I have posted on their forums,Not expecting much help lol.

Nope been with Giffgaff a long time, and not had any scam calls for ages
(in the past had some that came from numbers that looked very similar to my mobile number, but nothing recent)

I get the odd one now and then but my S22 warns me they are spam and I never answer them.

It's deffo down to the network

EE rarely had one
Moved to VF - they started along with texts
Moved back to EE - nothing

I'm with EE and get quite a lot but I enjoy them as I take great pleasure in wasting their time.

Even with Google's spam filtering, some still get through, mostly claiming to be from O2 with an upgrade for existing customers. Except... I left O2 years ago, I've been with EE (previously BT mobile) for a good few years. So I suspect it could be more tied to what network your number could be originally from.
