GiffGaff Question. Not 3G? :/

Aftwer hearing all the good talk about GiffGaff I decided to give there £10 package a try.

I've set it all up but I'm not connecting via 3G? The network icon is just an 'H' which is standard GPRS?

Doesn't giffgaff use 3G?

H is HSDPA, better than 3G.

H = HSDPA/HSUPA.

It's basically 3.5G, so significantly faster than 2G.

On a related note, has anyone noticed giffgaff's internet speeds and general connection strengths (I know it's on o2) getting worse?

All too often I see the GPRS status light up and nothing happen for a good 30 seconds - 1 minute.

Shadows1990: Is it just your area or elsewhere as well? I'm getting 1400Kbps up, and 1200Kbps down around here, so I cannot complain at all. I'll have to try Bristol city centre when I can, but at those potential speeds, I can't complain myself.
