Anyone had any issues with giffgaff?

Currently they have my phone, I bought a Z2 last year and the magnetic charger bit of the phone fell out, sent it for repair, they received it on the 20th Feb.

Going back and forwards via the message system, after saying they couldn't locate the phone, then finding it. I thought it would be sorted, but still nothing.

They're a joke of a network. Why anybody would use them when Tesco Mobile are just as good value and perfo better, is beyond me.

Plus O2 3G is just a disaster. Forget about internet on 3G with O2.

But Tesco use O2 as well

What he said.

I've only used them sim free and found them to be a pathetic joke, their support being a load of muppets from the forums following FAQ's trying to sound like they know what they're on about.

God knows why you would order a phone from these morons! Good luck sorry :(

Huh? Who did you order the phone from and who did you send it to repair with? Please say the latter was direct to Sony.

I had the exact same thing when I sent my Z2 in for repair however it was sent to the Sony repair centre and not with Giffgaff so that needs to be clarified. Needless to say Sony's service centre lost my phone, after being fobbed off ny the service centre for 6 weeks I contacted the head of European customer services Gary Acors, who amazingly had a new Sony Z2 sent to me within 48 hours!

They are fairly poor I'll agree, but they are cheaper then Tesco. That's the answer to the question of why people would use them.

If anyone else provided similar pricing I'd leave Gifffgaff today.

Yes it is being sent via giffgaff, last time I sent my phone in for repair no problems, and the repair is done via O2, as that is were my replacement came from

if they cant find, they should send you a new replacement.

I've tried the 4G sim only bundle. £15 a month now. I was happy at £12 but I'm debating changing. But I find it comes down to the area you are. My partner used Lyca for a little bit but every top up failed no matter what we did to try and sort it. She then moved to O2 as she got one of the Fire Phones for £100 on amazon. We both get 4G at least. I like the idea of Three where I can use the phone abroad and use my normal bundle. But around here everyone I know with Three struggles for signal in doors. due to the lack of 2G and 3G's penetration. EE has no 4G down my way its only Vodaphone/O2 who share the masts to combat EE. With all the Virtual networks these days and who shares what network and whos being purchased by who its getting a tad confusing!
