Hi All i,m after some info about ISP's ..If you are on one of the 'ENTA resellers 'Home/Office MAX' Services and you don,t use up your monthly peak or off peak GIG allowance does it go forward to the next month or what ?

P.S The present ISP i,m with lets you take over any GIG that you don,t use to the next month .So say your on 50G and you use 40G next month you would have 60G .

thanks

Nope, it isn't carried forward to the next month.
Right ,well i think thats a fairer and better way ,seems that a lot of the ISP's that are going down the pan or struggleing to give a fast and reliable service are doing this, and it must give heavy downloaders licence to go mad ! and if you have say 45G and 300G Peak and off peak that is more than enough of a limit in my mind ! maybe i,m wrong ?

Depends what you download really.
For the occasional large download, mostly web browsing/podcasting, the 2Gb limit that many ISPs have is more than enough.
If you download a lot, for example if you use VOD stuff a lot, then around 20-30Gb is better.
But if you do other, more bandwidth heavy stuff, and lets be honest, theres probably only a few things that arnt illegal that would actually need that amount of bandwidth, then more would be needed.
I personally have a bandwidth limit of 50Gb/month, in truth, i only hit around 17-25Gb a month, but the extra few quid a month im happy to pay as it gives me some leyway. I use my bandwidth for seeding Linux distributions that i use. Helps everyone then, and its legal. :)
