Hey all, so I have been considering a more finalised build give or take a few minor adjustments, please could you take a look and tell me your thoughts?

Specifically I am querying the following:
- size of the GTX 770 in length fitting the case.
- a suitable power supply both in size and cabling requirements (length/pin connectors) for mobo and paired SLI 770's.
- compatibility / suitability of parts.

Case: CM Storm Trooper
Mobo: Gigabyte Z87X-OC - (orange ick, might have to consider colour combo)
CPU: i5 4670k Haswell
Cooling: Corsair H100i
Mem: Corsair Vengeance or TeamGroup
GFX: Gigabyte Windforce GTX 770 OC 2GB - (future paired SLI)
HDD: Samsung Pro SSD plus 2 spare Sata 3's
PSU: Unsure - Corsair or Silverstone Strider (850w)
OS: Windows 7 pro 64-bit

I have the old Coolermaster HAF 932 which looks similar to that Storm Trooper case. They are huge with plenty of space so unless you have found users with specific problems with that case it's very unlikely it will struggle with a pair of 770s. I would consider putting some side fans in as they seem optional in the spec.

In the Guru3d sli 770 review they advise a minimum of 700-800w so a 850w should be fine for that setup. Either a Corsair 850w or the CM will be top quality PSU's but the Corsair seems to edge it for me as it has slightly longer cables, but both have all the required connectors for the setup. I have also had a great experience with Corsair PSU's so I'm a bit biased.

Other than that it looks to be an amazing setup that should work very well to say the least.

Many thanks for your comments.

I assumed as much with 770 and case size, but one has to ask :)

Just to shave a little on cost in case I need to replace or add any fans, I was thinking to size down the PSU following your comment. Would this be the right move and the right model - I chose the V2 over the M, or stick with the 850w?

I don't think you should skimp on the power supply to be honest, Its not just about total output but sustained output of the correct voltages.

I have just my Gigabyte GTX770 Windforce and it has blown me away how good it is, This is coming from a AMD 6970 Crossfire and i'm running mine on an i5 2500k so your Haswell should be amazinnnnng :D

With PSU's the saying "buy cheap, buy twice" has never been more true ,exept you could possibly be buying every other component in your rig twice along with it. An extra few quid now will possibly save you 10-20x that amount in the future.

I've seen the AX models used a lot, but the price puts me out of range, as much as I'd like one.

So keep with the 850W Corsair Enthusiast Series 850w TX V2 to be sure of good steady power output when SLI'd and overclocking?
