Gigabit routers, which one?

I'd like a decent ADSL router which will bring the home LAN up to pur gigabit speed. Obviously a nice Dreytek would be nice but what other sensible offerings are available for say £100?

it will only bring your lan up to gigabit speed if you have gigabit cards installed? if you've got them, why not use gigabit switch connected to your current ADSL router? As far as I know internet hasn't breached 100mb mark yet (has it?)

I use an old netgear router as a switch (all the router functions are disabled) to my main netgear modem/router.

A switch would be MUCH cheaper. £25-£40.

OK, so normal router, straight to a gigabit switch then off to the gigabit cards.

Remember to use cat5e cabling to sustain gigabit speeds.

Standard cat or cat5 cable will not cut it iirc.

After a bit of reading i went for the HP ProCurve switch, very happy with it, 8 ports ~£50, Stream BluRay arround the house no problems!

I've got lots of ProCurves here, included a 5406 with 142 ports. They are bomb proof.

i use cat5 quite hapily at gigabit speeds, 5e is just guarenteed to run at those kind of speeds
