gigabye 550ti oc version problem still

i have a gigabyte 550ti oc graphics card and a while ago it would just shut my pc down after 5 min of gaming so i sent it back and it has come back today as no fault found so i slapped it back into my pc and the same thing is happening BUT my bfg gtx 9600 works fine

evga 750i *** mobo
700 watt psu
8gig ocz gold 1066 ram

i have looked all over and found no info at all, furmark is ok on my 9600 but system just shuts down with the 550ti in after say 2 min.

any help at all would be great

There's a lot of difference between different "700W" PSU's.

The exact make and model please.

It's not the PSU unless it's faulty.

You've connected the 6 pin power connector(s)?

Try different power connectors from the PSU.

Maybe your motheboard doesn't like the newer graphics card.

You did clean and uninstall all of your old drivers before installing the new ones right? Also what are your temps like?

yup fresh install of windows

my temps on my new card i cannot find out because my pc just shuts down
but my temps on my 9600 and cpu are all in the green
