Gigabyte 280x WINDFORCE vs Msi 280x Twin Frozr IV

Gigabyte have a good rep for customer service, not sure about msi in this regard. Both cooling systems they use are very good ad i can attest as i own cards with theese coolers. If it was me, id pick whichever is the cheapest.

When you consider the fact they are now 2.5 years old, it may not be the best idea to spend £200 on one.

It might be worth going for a used 290 for a similar price assuming you aren't fussed about a used card.

Which would be better MSI or Gigabyte when buying used for warranty purposes.
If i get one of these will I still be covered under the warranty ?

you should be,think they go off the gpu serial number like they do on motherboards, but might run into issues if its not a uk model?

I think the ones ive seen are uk model because there from online retailers, but the retailers will not deal with me because I did not buy the card.

just rma to gigabyte, not rma'd with msi so cant comment but there cards are good, have two msi 7850's and they run fine/cool

With the price, as I mentioned on another thread, you can get them a lot cheaper second hand.

Mine has 5 weeks use and I paid 138 delivered. Plus it is the OC edition. ;)
