I've had the 3080 since 2020. Initially had to send it in to gigabyte because of the faulty power connector pins issue (which still wasn't properly fixed), but it's otherwise worked fine until recently, where I've suddenly started encountering a problem where my pc will randomly cut to black and force me to restart (keyboard lights stay on, and sometimes sound continues to play if I've got a YouTube video playing or something, so it's generally not a straight up system crash).
Tried doing a clean driver reinstall and reseating the gpu. The latter tends to fix things for a couple of days before the problem comes back. It most frequently occurs when loading up more demanding games like Red Dead 2 or GTA V. But it's also occurred when locking my screen or opening a video file. It's difficult to replicate consistently since one day I could use my pc without encountering the problem, then it could pop up the next day. I spent a week using my integrated graphics on my intel cpu and didn't encounter this problem at all. So maybe that rules out most of my build aside from the gpu, psu and the displayport connection to my monitor?
I'm building a new pc over the weekend, so I'll see if the issue still persists since I'll be reusing the gpu. But I'm curious if this is a known problem with this card, and if I'll need to do the RMA process with gigabyte again (I sent it back to the online store I bought it from a couple of weeks ago, but they claimed to find no issue with it).
