can anyone help with this did gigabyte release a newer version of thier aurora case that was a bit bigger so it could take bigger gpus.i dont mean the new models but a bigger version of the first one..

Hey,

They came out with the Aurora 570, very similar just 10% bigger from front to back, ( more space for GFX cards) and it had a different front.

An 8800GTX / ultra WILL fit in the original aurora, as long as when building it you put the mainboard in first, then graphics car second, as you need a little bit of room to put the car in at the right angle.

if not, a small notch in the right place fo the case will make everythign a whole lot easier :)

Got the old 3D Aurora with one of the XFX 8800GTX's and I was a little worried about it fitting properly and read the compatibility chart saying that there's only 1mm clearance but it's not as tight as that.

It fitted OK without having to remove my soundcard and once fitted you have about 5mm at the end of the card before the drive bays. The only issue really is that at the front of the drive bays they have rounded the edge which makes it stick out a bit further so as has been said you put the card in at an angle and then straighten it up and then slide it into the slot.
