Gigabyte 3D Aurora case.

Hi People

I have been trying to connect up my Asus A8N SLi Premium motherboard within a Gigabyte 3D Aurora case.
Problem is the front case fan has a 4 pin molex type connecter and the motherboard has a small 3 pin connector for the front fan. Any ideas how I can over come this problem???

The PSU should be able to get a Molex to reach, try re-organising the cables maybe.

Never heard of anything like this before though.

Ive never seen one of them

Same logic as plugging a high draw Delta onto your motherboard really im guessing :cool:

Ambers will be fine yeh.

But just remember any of the high performance fans draw a lot of power/

There are warnings on some of the Deltas about not plugging into a Motherboard for example.

You can just plug them into a molex. If you glanced over it.

Why cant you do that?

Its not so easy to control the fan speed that way.

Ahh

Might be a better idea to buy a 3 pin fan maybe, as the fan from a molex might not be able to report the speed.

The aurora's fans are only 1000rpm anyway, very very quiet

I have not ran a Aurora so could not comment on the fans

If they are 1000rpm then you should not need them being slowed down at all, they should be fine at stock speed as Raikiri says.

It wouldn't move any air if you slowed down a 1000rpm fan.
