Ok I had a this bundle a while back while pretty good its a bit old hat now but ive recently upgraded to conroe and a 7900 GT. Anyway I wanted to try this board in my new motherboard (just for a comparrison) I kinda guessed it wouldnt work as a dual 6600 GT but mine only works in the non 16x PCIE slot and after Post the screen goes all white and trippy  ! Just wondered if any one had tried this card in another non SLI board

I have the card lying around as i've upgraded to an X1800XT. I very much doubt that it would work in an SLi board of a different manufacturer, let alone a non SLi board. The card requires SLi capabilities in order to work, and even then only a select few SLi Gigabyte boards can run it.

You can try, but i don't think it will work.

My DFI NF4 SLI-D can run the 3D1 if I had it. (I even have an option in the bios for 'dual 6600gt card support'.

:o I always thought that Gigabyte wouldn't let it be supported on other manufacturers boards. Well, that'll help when i come to sell it :D

I still doubt that it'll work on a non SLi board. Now i bet somebody's going to come along and tell me that it does :p
