stock GTX 470s get to 90 degress easy with the standard cooler so this should deffo be cooler having 3 fans

With the stock fan, my own standard gigabyte oc maxes at 81c on auto fan, tbf its pretty much the same that my sli'd 275's reached on auto, though i tend to manually set the fan at 70% when gaming.

Mine gets to 77C on the auto fan profile, I think I've got a good combination of good case cooling and a low leakage card tho. If I don't mind a little bit of noise I can get it down to mid 60s for gaming without ramping the fan up too much.

I think my problem may be the size of my case, its a pretty deep full tower, and the front intakes are a long way from the gpu, also one of the fans is blocked by my hdd's.

Some facts!

The card was like £259.99 Inc. VAT

The card was then put on special Gigabyte Promo at £239.99 on our forums.

We then pushed it even lower on our This Week Only for just £234.99

When it comes off offer its going back to £249.99 Inc. VAT.

So basically buy one now, these are as rare as hens teeth, I don't even think our competitors have any because out of the 100 that arrived in the UK, OcUK got 80pc, which means there was 20pc for the rest of the OcUK.

OK Gibbo thanks for the info and my apologies for the wrong info above. This is a beast of a card no doubt and I'm sure I would not regret buying it instead of a 6970, unless the 6970 is going to stomp all over it and be £320 or less. Whats your advice Gibbo, GB SOC and an SSD around £100 or the best graphics card I can get for £320' ish.

So our price will go back too £249.99 Inc. VAT which is still lower than its previous £259.99 it was out before the promotions started a week ago.
