Hey.

I think my topic titles tells everything but else.
I dont know if I should wait for nvidia to get their kepler cards ready or I should go and buy 2x Gigabyte 560ti instead? :D

What do you guys think? :)

The problem with the waiting game is that it is never ending.

My advice would be to take the plunge now if you feel you need the extra Graphics horsepower as the performance of a pair of GTX 560s is more than enough for gaming at resolutions up to 2560x1600 with very little effort.

Hope this helps :)

As Andrew says. I learnt this lesson many years ago. Never wait for new hardware to come out. You will always be waiting for the next thing.

2x560ti will be booming, so go for it and enjoy it!

kepler's a while away yet i would have thought. Q3 isnt it? Even then i won't buy it at release prices.

Just bought me a 480GTX as a stop gap :D Probably get one of the new 23nm cards in 2012.

Yeah, also what I thought.
Hate the waiting game and new hardware will always come out when you just bought new gear anyway..

Another quick question tho'.
Can you recommend any psu for those two cards with an i7 2600k @ 5.1ghz? :D
My old psu won't make it. 400w custom psu

And would you recommend other than gigabytes model? I'll like the Sparkle calibri x560 tho but cant find it anywhere :x

Why not just get 1 580 GTX? It will be cheaper and will give you far better minimum framerates apart from being less hasle, less heat and less power consumption?

Corsair hx850+
silverstone st850p+
id go for a good brand of 850w psu. Just to give you large headroom for future upgrades.

Sparkle have RMA thru retailer only so be careful who u buy from (ocuk only ;))

Gigabyte and EVGA would be my prefered brands

Well, i've been checking out a lot of tests and what I could see would 2x560 ti do better than 1x580 .
Also im saving 50€ on buying 2x560 ti instead of 1x580.

Aha, didnt knew that :D.. Anyways, still would love to try that card out tho :D

Sadly I cant find any stores with it :(

If you get 2x560 now and sell them a month before the new gen AMD/Nvidia cards are out(probably AMD first) then you'll lose fairly little value between now and then and get good value out of your cards.

Kepler, not many rumours out about the new gen yet, no rumours of tape outs, no ones quite sure where TSMC really are with 28nm and no one really knows if AMD/Nvidia will be quick because they've been waiting for ages, or if they will still need 1 or several spins just because its a new process and that can take time.

Few months away from half decent rumours giving us a realistic indication of release time frames.
