Well I've just spoken to the tech. department again and asked them what they thought about the screens I sent to them. Their response "We are just running a Heaven benchmark to see if we can see anything". I also asked what they thought about the fact that everyone here who saw the videos, didn't have a problem spotting the artifacts. Their response "Yes, maybe those users have a copy of Crysis so they know what it should look like".

The RMA department was helpful though. They said I should request an RMA no. (which I've done) and they will arrange a collection for the card sometime next week.

So I won't be gaming this month either. Now, wheres that thread with the EVGA promotions...

I'm really glad I went with the Asus Z68 mobo now as I can just use the iGPU on SB temporarily. Imagine I got a Gigabyte board which doesn't have any DVI ports. Main reason why I chose the board. Can it run Crysis though?

I would LOL so hard if it somehow runs Crysis @ 1600p 60FPS

I returned one of these exact cards a couple of weeks ago, as it would not run totally stable at stock vid. First time I've ever sent anything back under DSR but was not willing to compromise when you consider the cost of these things!

Looks like 2nd time lucky, as my MSI 580 GTX Twin frozr seems fine.

Well I got my replacement today, exactly one week from they day they received it. Looking at the serial number it seems to be from a much newer batch than the faulty one (July 2011). I really hope this one runs faultlessly.

Those figures for the Crysis vids are about right. If you watch the Heaven vids and reduce the playback speed and keep watching the top right hand corner you'll see the big tears. I managed to grab some screens of the video.

So how did the tech dept. at Gigabyte miss them because they saw the same vids...

Hmm, my 480 artifacts there at exactly the same time and no other.....
