Can anyone offer me some advise please. My current GPU is a Gigabyte 5870 (GV-R587D5-1GD-B)

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3221&dl=1#ov

I run 3 screens off it, 2 x Dell 2008’s and a Dell 3008 on the display port. Until recently Its had ccc 10.3 on it (I know, I know) and its been fine. Newer drivers seem to have introduced a known issue whereby the monitor on the DP will “blink” into standby for a couple of seconds randomly then come back up again. Its something to do with insufficient volts on the DP port of the card.

Anyway to cut a long story short, its fixable with a bios flash but I am unsure as to where to source a newer bios than the one that is on there.

I’ve been through the techpowerup bios collection and using their filter listed;
http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/...te&model=HD+5870&interface=PCI-E&memSize=1024

The date of my current BIOS is the one listed at the very bottom as 2009-09-14 15:05:00.

I’m rambling but I would like to know from someone more knowledgeable than me in these matters it the above bios’s are suitable for my card and if so can I simply select the newest one and flash it using the ATIflash utility (I’ve read the howto at the top of the page).

Cheers in advance.

hahaha useless :p never mind though it seems to have been resloved with the 11.8 drivers.

Mod can close.
