Hello, I bought this card not too long ago and randomly a rattling noise on the gpu occurs. For example, I played Guild Wars 2 this morning, after about 20 mins a rattling noise can be heard from the gpu, I alt tabbed then increased the fan speed manually, it got a little louder but then stopped, re-enabled auto fan and the rattling is gone.

I can't get it to do it on its own, even setting it to the same fan speed it was rattling at, running 3dmark twice or other tests using the gpu. The gpu is seated properly, checked fans and even tried checking the fan screws but they were tight already.

I can't send it back for dsr and since I can't reproduce it wouldn't they just send it back?. Did it a few times in Tomb raider. Not sure what to do, any advice please?, Thanks.

Both my 7900 series WF3 cards did the random rattle, i found that when it happened if i squeezed the fan shroud slightly it would go away, i ended up pulling the whole thing appart and then reassembling, this solved the issue, its usually the card sagging and everything twists slightly out of position.

Hey. Not sure I'd feel too comfortable with that though, I'll check around for the windforce fan see if its easy to do or not.

I've also tried manually increasing fan speed by 10 at a time and waiting a minute in between. I cant get it do it myself, it just randomly starts on it own.

if you dont feel comfortable taking it appart then just loosen all the screws that you can get to and then retighten them all and see if that makes a difference.
