Well its time for me to upgrade my motherboard, cpu and ram (I have a £200 budget, apprenticeship wage sucks)

so im going for this motherboard - Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 AMD 760G (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard

CPU - AMD FX 4170 Processor - 4.2GHz, SKT AM3+, 12MB, 125W, PIB

but can someone tell me how much ram it can support ?

Cool thanks man

1 more question, could I buy 4 (4 gb - 8gb) single channel sticks and insert them or do I have to buy a quad channel sticks for my ram to work? (sorry if my wording is not right)

Yes you can, but best to keep them all the same (make/models) though.
