Gigabyte 965P-DS3 rev 1.0 and E5200

I know the gigabyte site says n/a against the above combo, but I have this board running bios rev F14b and have heard that it could be ok to run the E5200. I would like to purchase this week and would appreciate any feedback on the viability of doing this....???

n/a means that it's not working, sorry.
only Rev. 3.3 of this mobo supports this cpu:

How do you find out what rev the board is?

it's on the bottom,left edge, near the lowest PCI slot.

Old thread, someone may find it usefule though, currently sitting at 3.8ghz stable with an E5200 and 965P DS3 V.1 with the latest BIOS.
