Does this motherboard have a light to show if power is going to it or not?

Just bought parts and had it put together by a friend, but we're having problems. The switch at the back has a light on, but we can't see anything on the motherboard, and can't even see an LED that's turned off !

Has anyone else ever had any issues with it?

And also might sound like a daft question, but my power supply plug to the motherboard is missing a pin within one of the 24 pin slots - could this prevent anything from turning on ?

We built it last night, and had one or two other people look at it, and just can't fathom out why it's not working.

Any ideas / suggestions would be amazing !

Try building the basic parts needed outside of the PC case.

IS the CPU fan trying to spin at all?'

I have done the first suggestion, the second suggestion is my next port of call, and no the CPU fan is not trying to spin at all.

And i'm unsure about the case power button, like i say i'm getting a light at the back of the pc for the main switch, but absolutely nothing elsewhere. Should i try building outside first or shorting ?

Tried everything you recommended and absolutely nothing has happened. Power is going to the Psu but nothing else, even shorting the power button pins did nothing. Any ideas ?

At the risk of sounding like a numpty, but putting ALL blame onto the guy who built it up for me..

The mobo was screwed straight into the case with no spacers so it was shorting..

Que red face..
