Hey i just installed my Gigabyte 970A-UD3P and a fx 8320 and some new ram it all started fine working perfecty i was happy :D

Then i went to restart my pc but ended up doing shut down instead so i returned on the pc the fans started but no beep and the monitor just kept flicking on and off

i looked inside and it seems the led on the motherboard wasnt on so i turned it all off unpluged it and retried it worked ok again then i thought i will turn pc off and return it on to see if its better now

but nope same issue it seems sometimes my motherboard works sometimes it doesnt i tried resetting the bios that didnt help i unplugged the cables inside the case and that didnt work im not really sure whats wrong with it :( please help GothicCorpse

Please provide the full spec list of the computer. Make and model of each component.

Take pics if possible, showing every connection, particularly of the motherboard.

What speed is the memory running at?

sorry i lost internet yesterday so couldnt reply the thing is now it seems the pc only starts up if i leave it off for say 30 minutes then when i switch it on it works perfectly but if i try to turn it on just after iv turned it off it wont work

also when it goes into sleep mode it wont turn back on the make of components would be

black fx 8320 Gigabyte 970A-UD3P stock cooler Avexir Core Red Series 8GB WD Blue 500gigs psu is ocz stealthxstream 600

is resting the cmos the same as where you put say a screw driver against the 2 pins? if so iv done that

do you think updating the bios to the betas would work?

Resetting CMOS is same as shorting those two pins.

If the BIOS is old then try flashing to the latest at Gigabyte.

ok thanks guess theres not much i can do but to never turn the pc off ever again lol guess will have to wait untill payday and get the psu thanks for help tho
