Gigabyte A320m-S2H wont start with external gpu

Board is running with a AMD 2200G and the F50 bios, it works fine with the igpu - however it doesnt run when a GTX 1060 is plugged in to teh pcie slot.

The gpu fans spin but no video out put at all.

The GPU works in any other machine.

ideas?

ideas?

Might have to turn off iGPU in bios .
Orbit think display should be plugged into mobo hdmi/DVI which again you'll have to change

tried that - turned it off completely and rebooted and nothing

Yup its the F50 - the F50a only adds support for the XT range

Try resetting the cmos.

Does another gpu work with your motherboard ?

No, tried a 1070 straight from my wife pc , does nothing. Same gpu in mine works well.

Wife happen to have Ryzen CPU you can swap ?

Sadly no , it all works on internal iGPU - am thinking pcie might be fubard

Do you let it go all the way to Windows boot? I have an odd issue with my Zotac 1070ti and Asus X570-P where it will show no output until Windows actually loads 9/10 times. Once in a blue moon it will display POST and i can get into BIOS. However with an ancient AMD 6570 i have knocking around for testing it shows POST 100% of the time.

assume your PSU is man enough for it ? your probably doubling the wattage
