Screen
The screen is excellent, bright and ultra sharp, very little to no glare with the matte display, viewing angles are fantastic and the 1440p display even being on a 14" is very useful for productivity. Colour accuracy for me has proven solid, as it has for my brother who is a professional animator.
Battery
One word, Perfect. It lasts an entire day of use with internet/word processing/programming and photo editing.. At times i have tested with all power settings on eco and brightness turned right down i've had over 15 hours out of the thing.. no idea how the battery is so good on such a small device.
Portability
I have a simple backpack i put mine in for university (computer science student), its very light and i hardly notice the additional 1.8kg, as the battery is so good, i very rarely need to take the charger with me.
Build quality
Even after using the device for the last few months i am blown away by the build quality, there was initially a report of screen wobble.. this is fallacious as the screen has remained solid for me. The aluminium body is smooth and lovely to the touch, the product feels ultra premium.
Speed
I used the laptop as a desktop replacement for roughly 5 months until i built my current gtx 1080 i7 6700k build, it didnt falter at any point, kept up with all of my normal activities i would do on my desktop. Only gripe is window scaling due is default set to 175% due to the 14" display, if plugged in to a monitor is can cause some annoying scaling issues without a restart.. This isnt the fault of gigabyte, but rather windows.
Gaming
The i7 6700hq and GTX 970m can handle almost all modern games at decent settings. I only had to turn down settings on some games, but in general it was a solid gaming device that performs better than any ps4/xbox one.. here is a quick video i recorded playing overwatch maxed out at 1080p, apologies for recording with vsync, but it does hover around 90-110fps with vsync off as you can see the temp is also acceptable:
Another slight gripe is the laptop can become a bit noisy, and when not under full load it can have a bit of an inconsistent fan curve that sounds a bit like revving up then down repeated. I decided to pick up a laptop stand for gaming just to reduce the temperatures a bit more to reduce noise that can get a bit loud (not horrible) when gaming, but it is expected when receiving such power from a thin and light device.
Keyboard
Once you have gotten used to the keyboard, you will love it.. the only trade off is no num-pad, a bit annoying for programming but in general it is a great experience, i prefer typing reports/essays/minutes from meetings etc on aero keyboard compared to most others i've used in past. The macro keys along the right hand side have proved pretty useless for me but its mainly because i never use macro keys.. ever.
Also the trackpad is amazing..
