Had this laptop, the Gigabyte Aero 15 XC in question, since early september and haven't had any issues until I recently realised there is a pattern that appears at the top of the screen when certain colours are displayed.
Only in along the top of my screen, goinig down around 1/2 a centimeter, is a repeating square-ish pattern that only shows up when I see bright colours. At first I though I had a funky browser theme on Firefox that I just never really look at but I realised that it wasn't Firefox but rather my screen itself putting on that pattern.
I'm not sure if it has always been there but I noticed it around 2 weeks ago and I just can't un-notice it. I was just wondering if it was potentially an issue that needs fixing ASAP or maybe just a defect. If its the latter then I'll live with it since it doesn't really affect me or my usage of the laptop
Again, its only a very minor screen artifact that from my view doesn't seem to be spreading or getting larger, and is only visible under certain colours and brightnesses.
I've just like to know if this is a potential dying graphics card as It would mean I would need to get the laptop repair, and since I am on a Masters course and use the laptop for my work, this would need careful planning ahead of time.
