Anyone had any experience with one of these?Looking to upgrade from an lg 34um95 to a bigger{vertically}oled, and this seems to fi my budget, although a 43" would probably be a better fit for my desk.Is it worth looking at a tv equivalent?

I was debating about getting this - just bought a lg 42c2 and wouldnt mind a bit more real estate. The reason I was thinking about the gigabyte was for the dp connection and the 48" screen and it functions like a pc monitor rather then a tv.
I think it is suggested thou that the lg c2 has a better picture and better txt but its pretty close rtings actually rates the aorus a bit better then the c2.
hardware unboxed on youtube has a good review of both of these monitors ... I think they rated the c2 much better but again its a tv.

oh I almost forgot and my biggest + for the aorus - its a semi glossy screen where as other 48" oled monitors put a matte coating on the screen. I detest matte screen covers. If you were eyeing any other oled 48" they all use the LG matte screen (checked into them all). The LG or the asus sound good on paper ie newer lg screen but again they throw the matte screen cover on it (that you cannot remove) - well unless you wanted to potentially wreck the monitor.

... some food for thought - if you do get this monitor let me know how it is etc ...
btw I love the c2 monitor when it comes to contrast and having blacks and colors on the same screen or near each other. The white and brightness levels are a bit lacking compared to my qled 43" monitor.
