I have the above motherboard which has two temperature headers on it. When building my loop, I included a Bykski temperature probe to measure coolant temp.

If I plug this into either temperature header on the motherboard, I get a reading but it’s always negative, e.g. -27C. Which is obviously useless for basing any fan curves off.

Do the Gigabyte temperature headers only work with certain thermistors?

I have the x570 aurus pro and both ec1 and ec2 work that's with bits power probes from here. I'm not sure what any 2 pin probe wouldn't work so it suggest a problem with the fitting or a problem with the board, sensors or both!

Yeah, it must be the sensor as I tried the sensors that came with the board and they worked fine.
