Gigabyte Auros 3 won't boot after bios update

I have a Gigabyte Auros Gaming 3 x299 board, was just prompted to update to the G6 bios by the app manager thing.

Anyway, after the update completed I was promoted to restart, which I did, and now my machine won't boot. It won't even get as far as the bios options, screen doesn't turn on etc

Bios lights up, fans come on... Few seconds later it restarts.

Any suggestions, Is there a method to reset the bios?

I plan on contacting customer support in the morning as it's a brand new PC, few weeks old.
But if there is a quick fix then that would be great

pretty sure gigabytes have dual bios, if it has it should be impossible to brick it. Read the manual, does it have bios revert to second bios mode?

Regardless BIOS flash is done at users risk, if it has a single BIOS, and it's a brick then it's not covered under warranty. Doesn't matte if it's a few weeks old.

Hi and welcome to the forums. :)

Your board does indeed have dual bios so it should be able to be rescued. Your manual should tell you how. Never ever use windows based software to flash the bios. Always download the new bios and put it on a usb stick then restart the pc and enter the bios to use the built in bios flashing tool (Qflash on Gigabyte boards).

Couldn't figure out how to use the dual bios, couldn't find any mention of it in the bios.

Managed to resolve the issue by yanking the battery out and downgrading the bios via USB at boot. Pain in the bum!

Thanks for the replies guys

Always reset default before bios flash too.

Glade it's working but if your system is stable the new bios adds nothing don't ever bother updating.

Incidentally, at the risk of sounding terribly patronising, unless you have specific reason to, I would never upgrade a BIOS. It is a horribly risky exercise. I know it's very tempting to do, but try to avoid the temptation! Only if the manufacturer actually recommends and upgrade to fix a particular issue would I update the BIOS.
