Hi all,

I am new to the site so hopefully, I can start contributing, but first I am hoping to get some advice on an issue that has recently developed on a 3yr old GA-AX370 Gaming K7 MB.

The issue is that when powering on, all fans spin up, MB lights up but I get no signal to the monitor and it does not even post (Searching for DP/HDMI Signal). I have noticed it has happened since A) I reinstalled windows to UEFI, ready for windows 11 in future and B) Updated the BIOS to F50e. The issue appeared originally when I was using a display port cable, so I switched to HDMI and it seemed to be resolved and has been working fine for maybe 2 weeks but recently I am getting the no signal image on HDMI as well. This system is not new at all, and has been running with the same components for 3-4yrs without issues so it seems to be related to the recent clean install of Windows 10, UEFI or the latest bios update?

Attempted fixes
1) Changed HDMI/DP cables and ports on the monitor.
2) Swapped out the GTX 1080 for a GTX 1050Ti, same issue (So cannot be the GPU surely)
3) Fitted my m.2 drive into another PC fitted with a GTX 1050Ti and loads into windows perfectly.
4) Reinstalled the video drivers while booted into my m.2 on the second PC with the 1050Ti fitted.
4) Tried to clear CMOS, and removing the battery

I am running out of ideas as it will not even reach the BIOS, which is a frustrating thing but everything powers up okay. Anyone else got any idea? I know my MB has a backup BIOS and does show the debug codes but using that is new to me, so I am happy to try anything but please be patient with the explanations. Happy to post any codes that appear when I get the chance if this helps.

Hi Orcvader. Thanks for the reply. So after some problem solving and swapping out parts to the borrowed computer, I think I have an idea of the part that is faulty, the board? I swapped out my CPU (Worked fine on other PC) and all ram sticks worked individually on another PC as well.

The debug code I am getting is "54", and the light on the DRAM fault indicator is lighting up. I have tried to boot into the second bios but the code just cycles from 0 - 90 and starts again nothing is posting. Any ideas or do you think maybe the ram slots on the board has gone?

The sad thing is, my 36 warranty ran out 1 month ago...Sods law!

My thoughts exactly, I was hoping it would be a ram issue and save a lot of money. It’s 1 month out of warrentry so I have to contact Gigabyte to try and ask them to do a repair

To be honest you are most likely right. Been at it for 3 evenings now and nothing. Error code 60 when no ram is used, tried 5 different ram sticks all work and still getting error code 54 but with no clear damage. I think the B450 might be the way, unless I'm going to upgrade to a 5600x it's not worth going for X570 at all.

I have just seen an MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON MAX WIFI for £90 which I like the look of, built-in wifi frees up a PCIE slot and an upgrade for me. What would your other suggestions be on a good replacement to the Gaming K7?

Hey everyone, sorry for the late reply. I reached out to Gigabyte and got the expected response that nothing they will do but that's expected, they confirmed it's an issue with the board most likely to do with the communication between the CPU socket and the DRAM on the board.

I have gone ahead and ordered a B450 ASUS ROG STRIX Gaming F II :) On offer for £90 so a good compromise for a solid board that will work with any ryzen upgrade if i end up with a 5600x down the line.
