Gigabyte BIOS resetting

Got a weird problem with a P35-DS3P. A couple of times now, my CPU overclock settings have reverted to stock speeds. Everything else is fine, so it's not a general BIOS reset, just the CPU overclock.

Not sure whether this has coincided with a hard reset on each occasion but I'm wondering if there's some sort of BIOS backup system going on here, where it resets the CPU to stock speeds in the event of a lockup/reset.

Anyone got any ideas?

The giga's operate an auto bios reset function. Basically if its unstable before boot it just reverts back to standard settings. Its very good actually.

What ManCuBuS said , my P35-DS3P resets itself everytime I get over ambitious with my clocking. A very usefull feature indeed

Well that was aimed at the OP ;)

I'm still on F5 myself. I did try F6 but couldn't be bothered recalibrating my voltages with it. F7 brought nothing new to the table. And F8 is meant to be giving false positives in MemTest.

Thing is, machine is totally stable at overclocked settings. I've had to hard reset it a couple of times but not due to the overclocked CPU, would this revert the BIOS settings?
