Good evening all.

Been out of the loop for some time and looking to purchase this particular product and have a few questions;

To make this product functional i'm aware that I'll have to also order a HDD, RAM and provide myself an operating system (I'm leaning towards Linux Mint/Ubuntu)

I'm looking at buying this RAM:

Corsair Vengeance SODIMM 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3

However, can someone recommend me a HDD?

I'm looking for at least 1TB of storage space but I'm getting a bit confused with what size of HDD the computer will fit. (Like I said, been out of the loop).

Thank you!

I have one of the older Brix and it came with a small power brick (like a laptop... in fact I'm using it to power a laptop since the laptops original brick died and I haven't got round to ordering a new one). If you look at the pics on OCUK, the power input is beside the HDMI port on your model.

Lovely stuff. Thank you very much, should be ordering next week hopefully :D.

No probs. I see you mentioned Linux too. I'm a full time Linux user, and my Brix had no problem running Linux (everything including the wireless was detected). That was last year, so with the new 4.x kernels, support should be even less of a concern. I was also able to run Steam on mine (i5-4200 model) on a 1440p screen. Games using the Source engine played fine, but other titles it struggled with.

That's great to hear, which distribution are you running?

Also, this is my first time using a "barebones" bundle, did your brix come with the SATA cables inside but no HDD or am I going to have to buy a HDD and a cable separately? The one that CEOUTC linked me to is OEM and am I correct in thinking that these usually don't come with cables etc?

Apologies for noob questions, it's been years. :confused:
