Gigabyte DS3 and DS4

DS3 Supports 1 x PCI-E x16 Graphics Card.

DS4 Supports 2 x PCI-E x16 Graphics Cards.

Thats the BIGGEST Difference. Many others though.

Firewire on DS4, not on DS3
DS4 has ICH8R vs ICH8 on DS3
DS4 has better chipset cooling & power circuitry

yes, DS3P has firewire & Crossfire support (it seems to be more of a cut down DS4 than an upgraded DS3) but the OP didn't ask about the DS3P ... :p

The DS3P is the same mobo as the DS4 AFAIK except you don't get the natty heatpipe cooling system on the DS3P. They also use the same BIOS.

The DS4 only supports 1 x PCI-E x16 card, the other PCI-E slot runs at a max of 4x. The board does supprt crossfire though, but again, only with one card running at x16 and the other at 4x.
