Gigabyte DS3 Problems?

Hi there,

Have the above motherboard in my computer at the mo which consists of:

6300 cpu
2x1gb corsair value memory
several hard disks
475w Enermax noisetaker psu
6800gs
Creative XFI Music
Hauppauge 1300 pci tv card

I have had a few problems trying to install windows vista. To the point that after it copies all the files and comes up and says that it will run windows vista for the first time it very quickly blue screens and reboots and gets stuck in this cycle.

Now before installing vista I have taken out the sound and tv card just incase. I have the latest bios update for the motherboard and have upped the ram voltage by 0.2v.

I have also run the memory through both memtest and windows own memory tester and it passes with no errors at all. If I take one of the memory sticks out (the one closest to the cpu) and reinstall vista the computer is perfectly fine. If after the first reboot I replace the memory chip again the computer is fine.

Now to the crux of this lengthy, and some might say pointless, post I am of the opinion that my memory is not at fault here but maybe something to do with the motherboard???

Any ideas

Are you using same coloured or different coloured slots for the RAM? It should be the same coloured. Have you tried both pairs?

Yup I have tried both combinations with the same problem. Seems silly though that no errors have come up with memtest etc...
