Hey, can someone confirm that the DS3l is a good overclocker for a E2180? I read it is but its so cheap and i dont understand why it is if its such a good overclocker.

Probably lookign to push the cpu to 3ghz on air cooling. Its for a friend and i dont wana give him bad advice.

Using DS3L here with no problems. Running 3.2ghz with 1.38v and i'm only limited by heat because i'm using a stock cooler.

What are the differnt ram dividers like etc. Do they 1:1.2 in as my friend will need this divider in particular but its nice to know there are other good ones as well.

Is that 2.40 ? Yes it does. Mine has:

2.00
2.40
2.50
3.00
3.20
3.33
4.00

thats with the F4 bios that it came with. I tried the F8e beta bios but had a few issues so went back to F4

I have the P35-DS3L and the 2180 and its great. 300x10 straight out of the box. Multi of 3.00 gives the RAM at 900 and im a happy camper. Temps idle around 30oC with a voltage of 1.3. Couldn't wish for a better bang for buck pairing!

My ds3l board with the 2180 is @ 3.2ghz at 1.38v. Idle temps around 24/25c, load of 44c using the freezer pro 7 for cooling. It will do that with the stock cooler, but it does get a bit hotter.

Hi i have the same board running a e2200 i have it set to a fsb of 300 x a 10 multiplier with my ram memory multiplier set at 2x.
I have tried increasing my fsb and my voltages up very gradually but can not run stable using orthos it crashes after a few seconds running at 330x10.
running at 3ghz with no changes to my voltages i am orthos stable for 4 hours max load temp is 58,at idle it is 24.
My core voltage according to cpuz is 1.376v any advice on a higher stable overclock will be great
thanks
Steve
