On bootup, the post screen halts for nearly 3 minutes on the @Serial ATA AHCI Bios, Version iSrc 1.07 08042006@ screen.

I think that it hangs on the IDE detecting (1x 150gb pata drive & dvd-rw) for 30 seconds, and the about 1 minute on the SATA's (2x 120gb [raid'd] & 1x 250gb).

Has anyone any ideas how i fix this, or what the problem could be?

Thanks!

In the BIOS... under integrated peripherals change SATA RAID/AHCI mode to disabled and set the rest using the onboard settings below... if you need the features from the first setting then your gonna have to wait I guess... it takes quite awhile on mine but not 3 minutes more like 45 seconds...

Your HDD isn't SATA II compatible so it hangs. Sometimes you can download a utility (Hitachi) and sometimes your HDD is just SATA I, so AHCI is no good.

If you wanted RAID - have you built your RAID array?

ahh yeah i just moved the SATA I raid drives over to the gigabyte ports and now it loads up fine :)

now im stuck on another problem :S

whenever i tried to load into windows it always hangs at Mup.sys
